Discover the art of sourdough baking with this beginner's sourdough class at our cozy home bakery in West Linn! This hands-on, 3-hour class will guide you through every step of creating a perfect sourdough loaf. By the end, you'll leave with one freshly baked loaf, another ready to bake at home, and our signature starter culture, making it the perfect introduction to sourdough for beginners.
Our workshops are both educational and fun. Wine, refreshments, and small bites will be served, and at the end of the workshop we will put one of our freshly baked loaves to a taste test!

Kathleen and I had so much fun at last night’s sourdough bread making class. Katya is an excellent teacher. She is warm and friendly and her instructions were clear and easy to understand. We had hands on experience forming and scoring loaves. Katya is a master when it comes to making sourdough bread. We loved the class as much as we love her bread!
Katya is a bread ENGINEER and was amazing at sharing her expertise and insights to make us feel confident in our ability to replicate what we learned in the class at home. We were very novice bakers, but Katya was an excellent teacher, and this was a fantastic experience for all involved.

This workshop could not have been better! Katya freely shared her expertise and answered all of our questions on many aspects of Sourdough Brea Baking. The small group size and being in Katya's home bakery workspace was perfect. We all received a Sourdough starter which I fed later that evening and I can tell you its extremely active and spot on. I recommend this class to anyone interested in and pursuing their Sourdough excellence journey! Well done Katya and thank-you!!

My daughter and I took Katya’s class and I am SO GLAD we did! She was so kind, positive, and encouraging that I may show up at her door when I’ve had a bad day just so she can help me feel better. Kidding! Mostly. ;) The bread is ridiculously good and her knowledge and patience are exceptional. She welcomes all questions, she provides answers and works to make sure you understand, and gives you truly a wealth of knowledge. I’m eager to make my own loaf at home, encouraged by her positivity and the knowledge from the class, I left feeling so grateful Katya and I are in the same community.
